One of the tasks I was asked to do for the company I work for (GRP) was to create a flash media gallery for the homepage of the Highland Spring website. Even with many off the shelf options available to me, I decided it would probably take just as much time to build one from scratch than to properly adapt a third party flash file to suit the requirements of the website.
I created the media gallery to load in several flash files via XML (so that it could be content managed if required). After a short introduction movie the gallery automatically plays to show the next media clip in the series and continues on every 5 or so seconds.
Once the gallery was completed it was a simple case of creating the additional media files in the correct sizes and adding the URLs into the XML file. The finished result can be seen in the link below.
